Woman is rescued from sinking car in New Zealand

She drove off a ferry into Auckland's Waitemata Harbour. Police were on the scene very quickly after being called to Fisherman's Wharf at Northcote Point. At the time of freeing her, police said she had less than a minute's worth of air left.

Police tried the car door but couldnt get it open due to water pressure. They then smashed the rear window and dragged her to safety from the rapidly sinking BMW.

The 63 year old woman was treated for shock and a few cuts and bruises at North Shore Hospital.

Actually that would be a very frightening moment for the woman concerned.
I certainly wouldn't like being in that position.

She is a very brave woman.
I wouldn't have like to have been in that position.
Stay safe everyone!
